MAISON DE L'AMERIQUE LATINE (DE LA)
217, boulevard Saint Germain 75007 PARIS

                                                       Métro : Solférino

I went there in August 2006 and there was a recital playing Mozart in one of their reception rooms.
You can imagine how romantic it was, lunch is is about 40 € and dinner 50. You can also have tea in the afternoon.

I just have to agree with the first comment about your blog. I will be in Paris this summer and of everything I've read on line and in books, your blog is THE BEST. I enjoy reading it and will love to search out your favorite spots. It is very generous of you to create this blog -- and we all are all winners because of it. Thank you so much.

Bonjour Lisette:

I can only add my complements and second the comments of Phyliss! I know this project takes a lot of effort and I want you to know how much I appreciate all the research, walking, writing and nice photographs you include. It is invaluable to folks like me who will be visiting for a short visit of a few weeks. Your secret spots will make our visit so special, memorable and unique compared to those of most tourists.

My wife loves visiting tearooms and enjoying taking a break from the usual pressure and stress of travel. I spend lots of time searching books, magazines and web sites seeking tea rooms in cities and villages we plan to visit. Your section on tea rooms is really a gem and include some I had not discovered!

Thanks so much Steverino for your compliments.
I have added one tearoom for you and your wife, hope that you do not know it.

Thank you, Lisette, for this lovely blog of Parisian treasures. I'm so glad that I discovered it before, and not after, my next trip to Paris. I'll search out many of your recommendations.
